Brandon, a standup comedian from Long Island, was obsessed with disarming humor & shock value. Harrison, a producer obsessed with those relatable cringy moments (which we chronicled through FB Live on his own first dates). Enter a mutual friend who said they should work together. After years as pen pals brainstorming ideas, the idea for UpDating finally came to light in 2018.

We were the two dudes walking around New York City handing out cards to try to get people to buy a ticket to our show (if we sold 20 tickets, we were happy!). After years of stress testing the show in front of live audiences, our show started developing its own community. Now we're in year 8 and just as fired up about UpDating as those gritty early days. We've now performed all over the world, constantly improvising new shows & concepts, all to an amazing community of fans who religiously watch our show. Most importantly, one marriage we're proud of (after 1000+ shows, not a bad hit rate).
